Alex Alvarado is modeling the stars in 3D, down to the smallest detail of their wardrobe
Nicki Minaj in a sequined dress, Rihanna with her jewelry or Eminem wearing a T-shirt…, Alexander Alvarado, in charge of the look of characters at Disney, delights his fans on Instagram with his gorgeous CG portraits of celebrities.

"I love how you're doing the clothes", "The embroidery is on point!", "Super cool!!! What did you use for creating the t-shirt ?", "The detail is insane" ... The fans of Alex Alvarado's Instagram account are full of praise, each time the American artist publishes a new star portrait, like four days ago, that of the American-Trinidadian rapper Nicki Minaj, in her realistic sequined dress.
And it is, among other things, this ability to transpose in 3d the smallest details of their favorite celebrities appearance that Internet users appreciate in the work of this Character Look Development Supervisor at Walt Disney Animation Studios, the American animation studio of the Walt Disney Company. Below, the Barbadian singer Rihanna.
Alex Alvarado's job involves 3D modeling the appearance of virtual characters, including skin, hair, fur, clothing and accessories, etc. by playing on textures, materials, light and other shadows. Below, the American rapper Kanye West.
Alex Alvarado sometimes completes his posts with closeups on clothing and jewelry, as in this portrait of the American rapper Eazy-E.
Or he tells his followers about how he painstakingly worked on the T-shirt of a rapper like Eminem.
Alexander Alvarado has worked, for instance in 2013, on the Disney animated film Frozen, from which Elsa’s look and groom won him an award seven years ago.
On March 23, Alexander Alvarado called for a vote on his Instagram account. The most popular star will be the next to come to life in its 3D modeling softwares.
