In recent seasons, the Balenciaga house has carved out a special place in the hearts of technological fashion enthusiasts for the innovative creative positions of its artistic director Demna Gvasalia. Lighted sneakers and glasses using LEDs (more info in this Boudoir Numérique article), runway scenographies (more info here) or sci-fi-inspired campaigns (more info here), 3D mannequins in its stores (more info here)…, each collection brings its share of surprises.
The Fall-Winter 2021-2022 collection is no exception, having just been presented via a video game today at 2 PM, Paris hour. Discover some silhouettes worn by the characters of the game, digitized in 3D by photogrammetry, from pictures, below (© Balenciaga).
Check out the video game, set in a futuristic world in 2031, here. It will be available for 8 days. Note, finally, that some happy few received from Balenciaga a virtual reality headset to watch a VR runway of the Fall 21 collection, this Sunday, a new way of doing things, during the lockdown, also used for example, on October 3, by the Circular Fashion Summit by Lablaco which took place in a digitized Grand Palais, accessible only by virtual reality headset (more info in this Boudoir Numérique article).
