Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Istanbul, October 12 to 16, 2020

Niyazi Erdoğan conceived a fully digital runway show for his Spring-Summer 2021 collection, with the fashion design software CLO 3D. In addition to the virtual clothes and fashion models, the Turkish creator also drew on his experience as an architect to design digitally the venue of the show. Check out his work below.
- The fifteenth edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Istanbul (Turkey), which took place, for the first time, in digital version, opened its online platform to the Spring-Summer 2021 and Fall-Winter 2020-2021 collections. Find all the presentations on the platform accessible here.
Rakuten Fashion Week Tokyo, October 12 to 17, 2020

The Spring-Summer 2021 runway show of the Japanese designer Kozaburo Akasaka was filmed using a robotic arm, equiped with a camera, both playing the role of a huge tonearm on a giant turnatable, on which the models were walking, as you can see in the video below.

Taipei Fashion Week, October 6-10, 20

The designer Allen Ko, influenced by architecture, industrial design and science fiction - his first Urban Odyssey collection was inspired by Stanley Kubrick's movie 2001 : Space Odyssey from 1968 - takes us to his mad scientist laboratory, where he dissects, in the SS21 collection of his brand Allenko3, his obsession with clothing as an extension of the human body.
The theme of this edition of Taipei Fashion Week (Taiwan), entitled Re-Connext, was the hope of rebooting fashions weeks, in a post-Covid-19 future (images below : ©Re-Connext).
The atmosphere of its promotional campaign was accordingly decidedly futuristic, as you can see below.

The American brand Private Policy scanned the bodies of the models of its online presentation, placed under the sign of inclusivity and body acceptance (more info in this Boudoir Numerique article).
* STAYME70 Propel, September 14, 2020
At the initiative of the American basketball player Carmelo Anthony, seven designers expressed their creativity in a collection of sweatshirts, presented virtually but without models avatars (more info in this Boudoir Numerique article).

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, September 9 to 13, 2020

The Spanish designer, whose creative process mixes artisanal work with manufacturing techniques such as 3D printing and laser cutting, presented her work as part of Samsung Ego, the platform for emerging designers of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, with the Korean conglomerate as technological partner. She was awarded the Samsung Ego Innovation Project award.
The Samsung Ego platform welcomes innovative projects, giving pride of place to tech applied to fashion, in any of its facets (fabrics, clothing, accessories, staging, etc.). Watch Paula Alegria's SS21 fashion show below.
On the same day, one could also see the runway show Apocalypse by the fashion designer Eva Iszoro, founder of the Accidental Cutting brand, who was also among the designers of the SS21 edition of Samsung Ego. She also participated in the London Fashion Week with a virtual presentation, 9 days later (more info in this article from Le Boudoir Numérique).

Helsinki Fashion Week, July 27 to August 1, 2020
A completely virtual fashion week for this Finnish event as sustainable as it was immersive. In the Digital Village, visitors had the opportunity to discover the computer-generated presentations of fifteen eco-responsible creators, in collaboration with mentors from the world of tech, science and innovation, not to mention a 3D store to try on virtual outfits.
