Who would have thought that a pine green tracksuit would become the trendy look of the moment? Riding on the success of Squid Game on Netflix, where the Korean series had the best launch ever on the video-on-demand platform, the jacket and pants of the over-indebted squid game players are already appearing as the must-have Halloween outfit, next to the pink jumpsuit of the hoodied guards.
How then to succeed in standing out, on October 31, from the predictable banality of these in vogue costumes, if it will suffice to slip into a simple tracksuit with white stripes and matching number or in an ordinary jumpsuit to pay tribute to your favorite series ? By betting everything on the mask, of course, this social distancing accessory that has become as fashionable as it is indispensable, due to the Covid 19 pandemic (more information in this Boudoir Numérique article). And god knows if Squid Game is full of them, the vilains of the game not being keen on sartorial transparency.
In terms of masks, the choice is large : the faceted mask worn by the front man of the game, all dressed in black; the fencing mask of the anonymous guards, adorned with a triangle, a circle or a square and the VIPs gold animal-shaped masks, concealing the perversity of this bloody spectacle guests.
But make no mistake, we are not talking about vulgar masks bought on the internet, at the turn of a distracted and little invested click, but of fashion tech DIY masks, printed in 3D, thanks to downloadable files on web platforms, for example here and there. To better understand how to do it, the youtuber's video below will show you how this maker made, at home, with his own 3D printing machine, the polygonal mask of the Squid Game dark host.
For those who have lived under a rock, since Squid Game launched on Netflix on September 17th, catch up with the series trailer below.
