* Balenciaga SS20 : September 29, 2019
Demna Gvasalia, Balenciaga artistic director, always interested in the links between man and technology (see this Boudoir Numérique paper here), questions the power of the professional wardrobe, by sending on the catwalk models wearing corporate suits, for instance engineers with their work badges, a reflexion about the "New Fashion Uniforms", from his eponym collection.
Sunglasses with luminous Balenciaga logo were also unveiled, during the show (more info in this Boudoir Numérique paper here).
* Issey Miyake SS20 : September 27, 2019
The new artistic director of the Japanese brand women collections, Satoshi Kondo, has used a pulley system to magically make gowns descend from the ceiling directly onto the models’ shoulders. Watch the show below.

As the french fashion journalist Loïc Prigent observes, last November, in his documentary "52 minutes of fashion", the first silhouette of the fashion show "Marée Noire" (Oil Spill) of the French designer Marine Serre is wearing a luminous necklace.

The American singer Jennifer Lopez made a spectacular appearance on the Italian brand runway, in the "Jungle dress" that gave birth to Google Images, in 2001 (more info in this Boudoir Numérique paper here).

* Matty Bovan SS20, September 13, 2019
As explained on Vogue website, on the occasion of the British designer runway, “Bovan’s models had feature-distorting rectangular lenses fixed to their heads - lenticular devices that magnified their faces until they resembled inhuman, computer-generated creatures”. This creation is reminiscent of Korean designer Soomi Park’s Digital Veil (last picture) in 2007 (more info in this Boudoir Numérique paper here).

The American brand has printed photopolymers directly on textile, to recreate the play of light on butterflies wings, in collaboration with the company Stratasys, aimed at popularizing the use of additive manufacturing in the world of fashion (more info in this Boudoir Numérique paper here).
* Savage X Fenty by Rihanna SS20 : September 10, 2019
Rihanna’s lingerie show demonstrates the Barbadian singer’s desire to offer garments accessible to all sizes, in a positive body approach, in favor of the acceptance of human diversities and a better self-esteem. For instance, Lauren Wasser, leg amputee, hit the catwalk with artificial prostheses (more info in this Boudoir Numérique paper here).
* Lulu et Gigi Couture SS20 : September 9, 2019
One day before Rihanna’s fashion show, a nine-year-old British girl, Daisy-May Demetre, leg amputee, lent her talent to the runway show of the children brand Lulu et Gigi Couture, of which she is now the ambassador (more info in this Boudoir Numérique paper here).

Inspired by NASA astronauts, the show that celebrated the ten years of creation of the American brand did honor to fashion tech, with several luminous silhouettes, including an outfit worn by bionic artist Viktoria Modesta (more info in this Boudoir Numérique paper here).
