Patlabor, Evangelion, Macross, Escaflowne… on the catwalk of his SS20 show, the French designer Pierre-Louis Auvray (in last picture of the gallery below) immediately set a cyberpunk tone with his colorful collection full of mecha creatures wearing robotic armor straight out japanese animes. Inventive contrasts of materials between knits and more technical fabrics; sci-fi glasses, eyepatches and accessories; headgears like spaceships and hairstyles mingling computer cables with video game consoles earned the young designer to come out a winner from the show organized, with other fashion designers, by the social network VFiles, last September.
Watch, below, Pierre-Louis Auvray's SS20 collection, presented during the 11th edition of VFiles show, on September 5, 2019, during New York fashion week. The entire VFiles runway, along with other guest stylists, is available here on the VFiles platform.
