What’s the best way to shine, in all your glory, during the british finale of the famous drag queen competition? LEDs, my dear, LEDs.

The finale of Rupaul’s Drag Race is always a highly anticipated moment for fans of the famous reality show of the American drag queen Rupaul. This is where exceptional artists compete in their wildest outfits to win the title of next drag superstar and enter the hall of fame of this spectacular discipline. Dumpers of powders and eyeshadows, rivers of sequins and paillettes or extraordinary hairstyles that would make jalous Marie-Antoinette's wig maker… everything comes in excess. Below, drag queen Violet Chachki wins Rupaul’s Drag Race season 7 finale, on June 1, 2015, in the United States.
The British version of Rupaul’s Drag Race is no exception to this delirium. It’s therefore not surprising that the dancers of the choreographed and sung finale of the season 1 last episode, broadcast on 21st November on the BBC, offered themselves a little bling coquetry with LEDs luminous sneakers. A fashion tech initiative of the most beautiful effect, when the queens Divina De Campo, The Vivienne and Baga Chipz appeared on stage, in the dark, at the beginning of the show, on Rupaul’ song Rocket to the moon.
Watch the last episode 8 of Rupaul's Drag Race UK season 1 which crowned The Vivienne, on BBC website here. Here is a video recap below. The video with Rocket to the moon is published on the show Facebook account here.
In 2018, the American drag queen Shangela already wore a luminous dress in RuPaul’s Drag Race Holi-Slay Spectacular, a Christmas special, broadcast on music channel VH1, on December 7 (read this Boudoir Numérique paper : “Fashion tech Christmas”).
