The South Korean cosmetics company Amorepacific unveiled, at the opening of CES on January 11, the online and offline lip makeup manufacturing system Lip Factory by Color Tailor, built around an application and a smart device.
The Color Tailor mobile app, created in 2018, offers lipstick color and texture recommendations to its users, while the pigment dispenser Lip Factory can make them immediately on site. According to the brand's press release, this device can "produce over 2,000 shades of lip color makeup".
Lip Factory by Color Tailor received the CES 2021 Innovation award, in the Health & Wellness category. It has been available since last August in the flagship store of the K-beauty brand in Seoul, Amore Seongsu. Discover the system in the video below.
* Formularity by Amorepacific
Formularity is an at-home facial toner dispenser. The smart beauty device instantly mixes up to 3 treatment ampoules in a single dose of toner, depending on the user's skin condition and deposits the personalized formula on a cotton pad inserted in advance into the distributor.
The system “heats or cools the soaked cotton pad to an ideal temperature for skin absorption", says the press communique of the K-beauty brand Amorepacific, released at the opening of CES on January 11. Since the formulations are diluted inside the device and distributed on a cotton pad, users do not have to worry about contaminating them when in contact with their hands. Formularity was also awarded the CES 2021 Innovation award, in the Health & Wellness category. Check out Formularity in the video below.
* Lumini PM by Lululab
The south Korean start-up Lululab, linked to Samsung Electronics, presented its skincare assistant using artificial intelligence Lumini at CES in 2018. This skin analysis solution takes a photo of the user's face, studies the scanned information to diagnose the skin issues and recommends skincare products that the person could use to treat them. Watch the journalist Daniel Cooper, from Engadget, the website for technology and high-tech devices news, try out the system in the video below.
Only intended, at that time, for professionals, the analysis tool is now associated with a smart mirror, developed in the Samsung group's incubator, C-Lab. Lumini PM is expected to be released to the general public on a date not yet disclosed by Lululab.
