Custom beauty at home. On the occasion of CES 2020, the Consumer Electronics Show which takes place this week in Las Vegas, the French cosmetics group L'Oréal unveiled Perso, a beauty tech device creating personalized formulas for skincare, lipstick and foundation, designed within its technology incubator. This launch is concerning skin care, while lipstick and foundation features will be introduced at a later date. The elaboration of moisturizer, serum and under-eye cream formulas takes place in four steps : skin analysis using the artificial intelligence of the mobile app on the user's smartphone; assessment of local environmental conditions which may influence the skin condition, using geolocation data; introduction of the user's product preferences on the application and finally, dispensing, in one single dose, at the top of the device, of the tailor-made formula. Perso skincare will be launched in 2021, in partnership with one of L’Oréal group's brands. More info in the video below.
