Like the American brands Senreve and Everlane who use Desserto in their bag collections (read here), Karl Lagerfeld continues its collaboration with cactus alter-leather for its second collection with Amber Valletta. After a first capsule including vegan and more sustainable leather goods in Desserto, a year ago, the model who is now sustainability ambassador for the brand, appears in the new campaign of the collection Lagerfeld X Amber Valletta, unveiled on April 6.
This second Karl Lagerfeld X Amber Valletta capsule collection includes several models of desserto bags, available in green or black.
The Odina biker jacket, a Karl Lagerfeld wardrobe classic, has also been revisited in this innovative material, an alternative to leather based on animal exploitation and polluting the environment.
Still in this plant-based alter-leather of Mexican origin, a pair of white sneakers completes this capsule centered on sustainability with, for example, the use of organic cotton or recycled fibers.
The first campaign for Karl Lagerfeld X Amber Valletta collection dates from April 2021. Check it out below.
