"I have more than one iconic look up my sleeve. Met Gala Challenge take 2! Made from tulle, ribbon, an LED light, a yoga mat and a couch cushion!” If Grouchy the Pug cherished the dream of metamorphosing into Cinderella, it’s now done with its re-creation of the light-up Tommy Hilfiger dress, worn by the American actress Zendaya Coleman, on the 2019 Met Gala red carpet (read here).
A fashion tech classic that inspired more than one participant (read here) in this Virtual Met Gala, created at the initiative of Vogue magazine and the American actor Billy Porter (read here), following the postponement of this essential extravaganza event, due to the Coronavirus crisis.
The fashionistas furry companions played this DIY game, with a most funny mastery.
Another fashion tech silhouette was also revisited by the cat Arya from Paws of Winterfell Instagram account, namely Janelle Monáe’s dress, signed by the American designer Christian Siriano, in 2019. Fruit of the collaboration between the singer's stylist, Alexandra Mandelkorn and the engineering firm Smooth Technology, the neckline showed a mobile eye, blinking in a random sequence (read here). It was also Smooth Technology that designed the sliding fringes of Billy Porter’s fashion tech hat for his appearance at the Grammy Awards red carpet, on January 26th (read here).
