The love affair between Lady Gaga and fashion tech goes way back (more info in this Boudoir Numérique paper : "Lady Gaga, fashion tech pioneer"). The American singer has accustomed us to amazing bling tech appearances, during the promotion of her albums, for instance in 2013, release year of her opus ArtPop, in two dresses made by 3D printing (more info in this Boudoir Numérique paper here).

For the release of her new album Chromatica, postponed due to Covid 19 from April 10 to an undetermined date later this year, Lady Gaga lends her image to a serie of futuristic photos, by photographer Frederik Heyman. The Belgian artist used Computer-generated imagery (CGI) and 3D scan to generate a virtual avatar of the star, in order to concretize his half-human, half-android vision of Lady Gaga, visible in the Transformation 2020 issue of Paper magazine, to pre-order here.

Strong references to the cyberpunk universe of Ghost in the Shell, the manga of Masamune Shirow and its cyborg heroine in  Mamoru Oshii’s anime adaptation (1995) - image 1 -, to the season 1 opening credits (2016) of the serie Westworld populated by robotic humans and animals - image 2 - or to the manga Gunm (1990-95) by Yukito Kishiro - image 3 -, popularized last year by the movie Alita : Battle Angel from Robert Rodriguez…, this photo series does its shopping, like most current music videos and fashion campaigns, in the classics of science fiction, cyberpunk, steampunk, manga, anime and fantasy, an incredibly rich artistic universe that Le Boudoir Numérique invites you to (re)discover, at the source, for your long days of confinement.

Finally, note that the first single from Lady Gaga's new album, Stupid Love, was released last month. Check out its music video below.
