The singer of the Black Eyed Peas, Will.i.am, has partnered with the American company Honeywell to market the Xupermask, an high-tech facial mask, available from April 8th.

Will.i.am already wore this Mask in the Black Eyed Peas music video featuring Shakira, Girl Like Me, released on December 4th.

But it was only a prototype that the singer of the American band wanted to manufacture, at the beginning, for his close friends, in limited quantities, around a couple hundreds pieces. 

However, on March 12, the artist, who is also a tech-savvy entrepreneur, has decided to ally with the American company Honeywell to market a consumer anti-covid mask, called the Xupermask, unveiled on 18th March on his dedicated Instagram account. 

This protective mask has HEPA filters (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) that capture dust, dirt, pollen, moisture, bacteria and other particles of a size greater than 0.3μm (micron).

The high-tech accessory, benefiting from an autonomy of 7 hours and isolated from the outside by a silicone seal, has three double speed fans for air circulation. So you can wear it with glasses without fear of the fog.

This wearable also comes with a magnetic earbud docking system and a microphone with noise reduction technology, so that the wearer will not lose his earbuds and will be able to keep a conversation without his voice muffled. Cherry on the cake, the mask, connected by Bluetooth, is adorned with LEDs that make it light-up.

The mask has been designed by the American company specialized in creating costumes and creatures for cinema, Ironhead Studio. 

* The mask will be available, from April 8, 2021, in two colors and two sizes, in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe for $299 (approximately €252), on Xupermask website.
