“I was wearing face shields before it was a thing”, laughs Lady Gaga on her Instagram account today. It’s true that the American star has every reason to rejoice from her numerous appearances, yesterday, at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, with some eccentric masks (more info here).
But it was also her fashionable astronaut helmet that caught the attention on the red carpet of the event, a social distancing accessory completing the futuristic look of a metallic anorak dress, from the Fall/Winter 2020 collection of the American brand Area.
As she puts it so well, this is not the first time that Lady Gaga has fallen in love with visor-shaped headpieces. The artist was notably immortalized, during a shoot for the April 2020 issue of InStyle magazine, with a creation signed by Indonesian designer Rinaldy Yunardi (more info here).
