The electronic couture designer unveiled on her Vimeo account, five days ago, a dress, whose 3D printed modules, shine according to data from the Global Meteor Network. Anouk Wipprecht's Meteor Dress will be shown at Yuri’s Night on April 10th.

A dress that lights up according to the fall of meteors in the sky, such is the poetic idea developed by Anouk Wipprecht in his new creation, the Meteor Dress.
The Dutch electronic couture designer drew on space data collected by the Global Meteor Network, a worldwide association of astronomy professionals and enthusiasts who observe the night sky with cameras to follow the trajectory of meteors, these space rocks, in order to better understand the formation of the solar system and its evolution. Based on these data, Anouk Wipprecht imagined an interactive dress, adorned with three printed 3D modules, with LEDs that shine, in the same sequence as these meteors that burn in our atmosphere as they enter it.
The Meteor dress will be shown on the occasion of Yuri's Night, an event to celebrate the conquest of space, the next edition of which will be held digitally, because of the Covid-19 pandemic, from a studio in Los Angeles, this April 10. Check out the Meteor Dress, in the video below.
