Two days ago, Le Boudoir Numérique walked the aisles of VivaTech, the event dedicated to start-ups and tech, in search of fashion tech and beauty tech latest innovations. Viva Technology takes place, Porte de Versailles, in Paris, until Saturday, day accessible to the general public.
* Wood leather by Woowe
The start-up Woowe produces more sustainable, vegan shoes, using a wood alter-leather made from ebony, maple and cherry foils.
On the picture below, the man sneaker Tito in maple wood and cork, with natural rubber sole, from Woowe 2020 – 2021 collection.
Find the interview of Mara Marchesi, export manager of the Italian company, in the following Boudoir Numérique article.
* Reishi Fine Mycelium by MycoWorks
In the LVMH space of VivaTech, Le Boudoir Numérique met Frederick Martel, Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development at MycoWorks.
This American startup's Fine Mycelium biofabrication technology, from mushroom roots, was recently used by the French luxury house Hermès to develop the innovative Sylvania material for a Victoria bag, unveiled last March (more info here).
The interview with Frederick Martel is published on Le Boudoir Numérique here.
* Dioriviera AR Experience
Also in the LVMH space, the Dior augmented reality filter Dioriviera allowed to play with the toile de Jouy codes, in raspberry, lime or blue pop colors, of the Dior summer capsule reinvented by Maria Grazia Chiuri, the artistic director of the French house.
The immersive experience also allows you to try out a DiorClub visor, as you can see in the demonstration below.
* Micro-peeling by Dior
The LVMH space also allowed visitors to discover the Dior Micro-peeling device, developed by the beauty brand to exfoliate the skin, in order to activate its cells renewal. This technological innovation has an exfoliating head, composed of ceramic and micro-particles of corundum, a stone used for its abrasive properties.
"Thanks to the vibration of this exclusive patented tool, the abrasive head exfoliates the surface of the skin and also drains the tissues for a sculpting effect, more luminous", explained to Le Boudoir Numérique a Dior host, adding : "The tool allows an exfoliation as effective as gentle which does not lead, as it is often the case after a dermatological intervention, to a period of social exclusion. This deep cleansing of the skin is done over a very short time, 30 minutes, the client coming out immediately afterwards, without redness on the face, able to resume immediately all daily activities."
The Micro-peeling tool is used as part of a skincare ritual, with the Dior Prestige or Capture Totale ranges from Dior. The Dior Micro-peeling treatment is already available at the Dior Institut at the Hotel Plaza Athénée in Paris, as well as Dior Spa Cheval Blanc, starting next September.
* Boston Dynamics’ robot Spot
Spot, the dog robot from the American robotics company Boston Dynamics was presented at VivaTech by the French company Intuitive Robots, which specializes in softwares for robots.
As an Intuitive Robots’ staff member confirmed to Le Boudoir Numérique, the explorer robot is not intended to continue its activities of delivering sneakers for Adidas in the future, as was the case at the beginning of this year (more info here).
Its missions are therefore less, for the moment, about fashion tech than about the inspection of industrial environments, the monitoring of construction sites and data collection in the environment. But who knows? Once a fashionista, always a fashionista… Le Boudoir Numérique will continue to closely follow the adventures of this impressive robotic dog, as you can see in the video below.
* The fifth edition of VivaTech takes place from June 16 to 19, 2021, at Expo Porte de Versailles and online. More info on VivaTech website here.
