Iris van Herpen’s laser cutting sets the red carpets on fire

There are other places than the catwalks of fashion weeks to enjoy the most sumptuous outfits imagined by the great couturiers of the world. For instance, the red carpets of movie premieres where, when it comes to fashion tech, fashion lovers can only be delighted by Iris van Herpen's keen interest in innovation, validated by the stars and their stylists. The red carpet dresses in laser cuttting chosen by Gwendoline Christie, Eva Green or Cara Delevingne for their gala evenings, since September, amply demonstrate the succes of the Dutch designer's latest haute couture collection, Hypnosis.

This silhouette is made by laser cutting, a manufacturing process for cutting the material by means of a laser.

As a matter of fact, the stars had already rushed to the Hypnosis fashion show, at L’Elysées Montmartre, in Paris, this summer. Among them the Canadian singer Celine Dion, the American drag queen Miss Fame and the Canadian model Coco Rocha.
