An alternative to in-ear headphones, the fashion tech audio glasses by Aether Eyewear
What if we wore our Bluetooth earbuds in the temples of our glasses? This is what the Singaporean brand Aether offers with its audio glasses, available for pre-order since March.

Last fall, Le Boudoir Numérique wondered if smart audio glasses could potentially replace connected earbuds as the favorite fashion accessory of wearable tech enthusiasts (more info in this Boudoir Numérique article). As a mater of fact, after Bose and Huawei, the Singaporean brand Aether Eyewear is betting on these glasses that allow you to make phone calls, chat with your personal assistant or listen to music, without having to put earbuds in your ears.
A finger tap on the tactile temple where are hidden the speakers, microphones and battery, in short all the miniaturized technology necessary for this open-ear sound experience, is enough, the glasses being able to connect by Bluetooth to your mobile phone for example. Aether's audio technology adapts to the wearer's movements and activities, enhancing the clarity of directional sound, minimizing background noise and keeping conversations discrete.
The glasses, weighing less than forty grams, in sunglasses or optical version, are available in five models, in three different colors, with an design on point, for instance with a very graphic “eating the face” frame, with strong angular shapes, for the S2 pair which can be worn as a fashion accessory in its own right. The glasses are delivered with their aluminum protective case allowing the battery to be recharged in one hour for an autonomy of three hours (images below : © Aether Eyewear).
* Aether Eyewear glasses are available for pre-order, since March, on the brand's official website for shipping in early May 2021.
