After LVMH’s collaboration with NaverZ Corp for Dior’s virtual make-up, last July (more info in this Boudoir Numérique article), it's Ralph Lauren's turn to initiate a partnership with the virtual world platform Zepeto developed by the South Korean company.
Announced on August 25, this Ralph Lauren X Zepeto collaboration gave birth to a collection combining vintage pieces representative of the Polo Ralph Lauren style with models from the present summer collection, namely twelve silhouettes for a total of fifty exclusive items, plus two skateboards specially designed for the occasion. The visitors of the mobile simulation application can purchase these digital clothes to personalize their avatar, in the virtual world of the American brand, including three distinct spaces in New York: Ralph’s coffee shop, Central Park and the Madison Avenue flagship store.
It is in this store that the avatars of the members of the K-pop group Tomorrow X Together (TXT), wearing outfits from Ralph Lauren's virtual collection, will be hosting a live virtual event, on September 8. During this event, Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Hueningkai will interact with the Zepeto visitors that will be able to chat with them, take selfies and make videos to share on social networks.
