A luxury brand in a tech event, it’s not common but it’s going to happen more and more often, as evidenced by the presence of Louis Vuitton, last May, at VivaTech, the Parisian show dedicated to innovation and start-ups. From 16 to 18 May, the French house presented two "Lighting" accessories, unveiled for the first time during its men Fall-Winter 2019-2020 show, last January, in Paris (watch it below).
Update on November 29, 2021: This collection was signed by Virgil Abloh, artistic director of Louis Vuitton men's collections, who died at the age of 41, on November 28, 2021.
The Keepall bag and the pair of LV Trainer sneakers incorporate an optic fiber textile technology allowing them to illuminate in various colors. Both accessories will be available on order, from the end of November 2019.
Louis Vuitton also worked on the concept "Canvas of the Future", fruit of two years of research, in collaboration with the Chinese company Royole, proposing flexible electronic solutions, such as the first folding phones, for example. This technology was declined on two emblematic bags, the Speedy and the Duffle, that the public of Louis Vuitton cruise 2020 show was able to discover, last May, in New York (watch it below).
These models, the Duffle (below, 1st image) and the Speedy (2nd image), with flexible digital screens for real-time visual customization, will be available from November 2019.
