Will smart audio glasses one day replace connected earbuds in the favorite accessories of fashion tech wearable enthusiasts? In any case, this is the trend that Huawei continues to bet on, pursuing its partneship with Gentle Monster for a second version of their audio glasses, unveiled on October 22. The collaboration of the Chinese electronic equipment company with the Korean eyewear manufacturer very popular in Asia dates back to March of last year, as you can see in the advertisement campaign of its first-generation of smart eyewear.

Nothing to do with Google Glass focused on augmented reality or with Snapchat Spectacles for filming in 3D. These are glasses with tactile temples, comprising two miniaturized speakers and two microphones, allowing you to listen to music, make calls and chat with a voice assistant. Acting as a hands-free kit, the device communicates with your mobile phone via a Bluetooth connection and allows sound to be sent to the ear canal. No button on the device, one just taps the glasses temple to end a call, for example. And of course, you don't have to take your phone out of your pocket or bag to answer a call.

Compared to the first generation, the sound quality and power have been improved, as well as its filtration, so that someone near the wearer cannot hear what he is listening to. The glasses, available in four models Smart Myma, Smart Lang (sunglasses), Smart Havana and Smart Kubo (prescription glasses), have a protective case for recharging the battery by induction. A full charge lets you enjoy five hours of music. Discover the Huawei x Gentle Monster Eyewear II smart glasses, in the video below.

Audio glasses are also the path taken, since last May, by the American electronics brand Bose, with its line of sunglasses called Frames, composed at the beginning of two models Rondo and Alto, completed since September, by three new models Tenor and Soprano, designed for everyday use, as well as Tempo, for outdoor sports. All these frames can be fitted with corrective lenses.
