NYFW 20-21 : Daisy-May Demetre walks Lulu et Gigi Couture show with prostheses
The nine-year-old double amputee british girl Daisy-May Demetre keeps on her burgeoning modeling career, celebrating inclusion and diversity in fashion. Let’s have a look at her unusual journey.

Daisy-May Demetre is proud of her achievements as “first child double amputee to walk New York Fashion Week”, as announced on her Instagram account, strong with 24.000 fans, following her daily adventures. Last February, it was on the podium of Lulu and Gigi Couture fashion show that the nine-year-old english girl was seen, walking with prostheses for the Fall-Winter 20-21 collection of the kids and teens brand.
Daisy-May Demetre wears two leg prostheses, following his amputation, at two years old, due to a fibular hemimelia, a malformation characterized by the partial or complete absence of the fibula, a bone constituting the lateral part of the skeleton of the leg. Watch her during the show, below.

In the fall of 2019, Daisy-May Demetre lent her talent to an internet campaign for the sports brand Nike.
In Paris, the little girl stepped on a catwalk installed at the top of the Eiffel Tower, on September 27, 2019, as ambassador of Lulu and Gigi Couture.
In New York, where diversity and inclusiveness are strongly encouraged on the catwalks by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), Daisy-May Demetre appeared on Lulu and Gigi Couture Spring-Summer 2020 show on September 9, 2019.

Daisy-May Demetre started her career, by joining the inclusive British agency Zebedee Management in the fall of 2017.
It is through this agency representing models with disabilities that Daisy-May Demetre won, in July 2018, a contract with River Island, a British brand that had also celebrated its 30th anniversary, six months earlier, with the "Labels are for clothes" campaign, aiming at diversity in fashion.
