Result of its collaboration initiated in 2019 with Marcolin Group, the Italian company specializing in the design and production of eyewear, the sports brand Adidas will launch, on August 23, a pair of sunglasses entirely made by 3D printing.
The frame of these glasses called CMPT 3D is thus produced by an additive manufacturing technology using the accumulation of successive layers of material, here, black flexible nylon with a spiral structure, treated with a special rubber-effect layer, the whole product not weighing more than 20 grams. The price of this model, produced in a limited edition of 150 exemplaries, exclusively for members of the Adidas Creators Club loyalty program, is 350 euros.
