In fashion tech, ancestral know-how and innovation make the most beautiful weddings. Proof of this is the work of Sino-American fine jewelry designer Diana Law, who has chosen to combine 3D printing (or additive manufacturing, made by accumulating successive layers of material), with precious or semi-precious gemstones, in order to create plastic printed accessories. In her Fall-Winter 2019-20 collection, entitled l’Evolution, 3D printed plastic is adorned with sapphires on the eponymous tiara and the "Sapphire Hive Neck" necklace.

Season’s showpiece and available on order only, a duo of multi-functional bags, embellished with flowers, whose diamonds, kunzites or sapphires hearts are removable. Center gemstones are detachable, ready to be assembled onto 18k gold settings and transformed into complete fine jewelry pieces, rings, earrings or pearl necklace.
