SF9 starts a (fashion tech) Revolution Per Minute

Neon visors, LED display headsets, luminous gloves..., South Korean group SF9‘s "RPM" music video, unveiled in June, suggests a bright future for K-pop bling tech.

A few years ago, fashion technology was only found, as visual performance devices, on Katy Perry, Black Eyed Peas or Rihanna’s show stages - read the article of the Le Boudoir Numérique : "Fashion tech Christmas". But the situation has changed dramatically, since J-pop and especially K-pop, in its frenzied outbid of music video and records releases, has fully understood the bling bling potential of the fashion technology universe, nourished by futuristic, cyber and SF influences.

This summer alone, in July, K-pop music industry offered fashion tech a great showcase with the South Korean group Dongkiz and its title "Blockbuster", winking at eighties movie Ghostbusters and the tech paraphernalia of ghost hunters. Check out Blockbuster music video below.

In June, K-pop singer U-Know delivered his dark-industrial vision of fashion tech, in the music video of his single "Follow" - read the article of Le Boudoir Numérique : "Follow me like a (fashion tech) robot". And in the latest title "RPM" (Revolutions Per Minute) of the South Korean group SF9, counting no less than 9 members, there is a lot of fashion tech.

That’s what it takes to dress all this beautiful guys with neon visors, LED display headsets, luminous gloves and other electronic devices that predict a K-pop future rich in  delightful bling tech. Check out RPM music video below.
